Second Class participated in a ‘Babaró’ workshop in October 2022. Tarsila, a Brazilian illustrator facilitated this workshop. She brought them on her journey by showing the class illustrations she has created over the years. She shared an illustration that she created when she was only 8 years of age, highlighting how her skills have greatly developed as a result of hard work and lots of practise. The boys and girls really enjoyed looking at and responding to her art work, and the beautiful book she created. They particularly enjoyed having the opportunity to create their very first sketch books. Second Class were determined to work even harder and continue to practise making more illustrations after this visit. What a wonderful experience!
